65.340.1-3 - The shafts of poker and shovel are partly of steel, the upper parts being brass. Both terminate in pear-shaped knobs of brass. The bracket consists of a square brass plate with four screw holes for attachment to fireplace jamb. A curved brass arm with vase-shaped terminal springs from the centre of the plate. Its function is to hold the poker and shovel.
