Figure of Charles Haddon Spurgeon, white earthenware with a blue tinged crackle glaze, on an oval base,inscribed in gilt raised capitals, the lower part wth the surname, the upper part with the centred intitials. Only upper part of Spurgeon visible, figure within an ornate preaching booth, Spurgeon dressed in black and with black hair with right hand raised (right index finger broken) and with left forearm resting on the deeply recessed black front of the booth and on an open red/brown book. Vertical ribs of booth moulded and highlighted in green squiggles, blue lines, and red squiggles, lower front of booth moulded with two large gilt scrolls, yellow fringe around front edge of booth, domed top with gilt, blue and green ribs, finial banded in blue and above in green.
