Crupper strap. Broad leather strap with brass buckle to attach to plough band. Two narrow hip straps at right angles with brass plates, buckles and hooks for attaching to plough chains. Padded just above tail with leather loop and brass buckles to fit around tail. Used when ploughing final furrow in competition when a pair of horses are harnessed in single file.
