WOOLLEN CANVAS, embroidered with coloured silks in cross and satin stitches. At the top are the following texts: “I Love them that love me and those that seek / me early shall find me Riches and honour are / with me yea durable riches and righteousness / My fruit is better than gold yea than fine gold / and my revenue than choice silver". At the bottom, within a floral wavy stem, there is an arch with two columns surmounted by birds. Within the arch, beneath a crown, there is a flowering plant growing from a pot, Above there is a spray of rose buds. The rest of the space contains temple, floral, bird and dog designs, mostly symmetrically arranged in pairs. At the bottom is the inscription: "Mary Williams her work Aged 11. 1823”.
