Plate, earthenware, circular shape with inset base, curving sides and spreading rim, a raised edge to the well, eight notches and lobes to the rim; transfer-printed in blue with to the centre of the well the 'Monopteros' pattern, in the foreground several figures with two laden ponies, behind them an Italianate tower, further classical buidings and a monopteros on a hill, mountains in the background, the scene surrounded by spreading flowers, foliage and fruit, ribbon border to the rim with overlapping arches on a blue ground.
