Casgliadau Arlein

Samian bowl sherd, form Dr 37 Central Gaulish. A large double-bordered medallion contains the edge of the figure Pan (Oswald 1214). Cutting into the medallion is a running dog (Oswald 1980), over a basal guideline with a small circle in the field. Both the Pan and the dog are used by the potter CINNAMVS. Date: AD 140-170
