HMS ALLINGTON CASTLE (Pennant No. K689) : Built 1943 by Fleming & Ferguson Ltd., Paisley, Scotland and commissioned 19 June 1944. Originally ordered as ALINGTON CASTLE (with one "L") but renamed on her commission. She was not listed as an active unit in the October 1945 Navy List (as signified here by use of the Blue Ensign). Part of the Home Fleet in 1946, based at Fleetwood. In the Harwich Reserve during 1947-1951, she completed a Tyne refit whilst in Reserve in August 1949. In Reserve at West Hartlepool during 1952-1958. She arrived at Sunderland on 20 December 1958 to be broken up at Thomas Young's yard.
