Casgliadau Arlein

Cockle plate, earthenware, circular shape, rounded foot-rim with an incised ring around it, curving sides and spreading rim, a raised ridge around the well, a band of moulded anthemions to the outer rim; transfer-printed in black with to the centre of the well a rural scene showing a male figure reclining underneath a spreading tree by the side of a large boulder, in the background a lake and distant hills, black bands around the well and to the rim.
