Frog Lane Colliery face inspection. The official shown, probably the Colliery Manager, is making a face inspection. He is pointing out the presence of a disused post at the bottom of the waste pack and is demanding its removal for reuse. Both men have peg and ball lamps fixed to their soft caps. The manager is dressed in britches, and carries a stick and watch and chain appropriate to his station.
