Casgliadau Arlein

Depth gauge pole on east side of channel of River Neath immediately north of the entrance to the unfinished navigable cut of the 1880s, viewed from north east. This pole was formerly painted with numbered depth markings. On opposite (west) bank of river is the north west knuckle of the unfinished south entrance basin to the unfinished Neath Tidal Harbour. Inscription on reverse.
