Woollen ground embroidered with coloured silks in cross stitch. Elaborate woolwork style floral border. Consists of woolwork style motifs, mainly floral, with boy on goat at top, a small dog centre left, and pictorial scene of man playing mandolin to child in centre; single stylized motif of stag centre left. Welsh verse in single line below top row of motifs. Maker's inscription and date in floral wreath at foot
