Pencil and watercolour drawing 'The Synagogue. Cathedral Road, Cardiff'. Presented by donor in the name of her mother Yenta Levi (deceased). Signed and dated bottom right. Red and brown card surround. Glazed in a wooden frame with gilded insert.
The drawing was commissioned from the artist by the donor, as a way of repaying the kindness shown to her family since they arrived in the Rhymney Valley as Jewish regugees from Russia in 1910.

Born and brought up in Rhymney. Educated in Wales, she later lived and worked in Leicester. She provided illustrations for various publications and her work appeared regularly in the Western Mail and Leicester Mercury. She was awarded MBE in 2002 ‘for services to the community’.
