A Penhale-shape jug, of blue earthenware, standing on a fluted foot rim, fluted, pouch shaped body, inverted at shoulder then flaring and ending with waved, everted lip rim with raised narrow spout, the shape of the mouth that of a large vine leaf; high looped ogee handle with rustic-style moulding and thumb spur; the whole of a bright blue body, sprigged with applied moulding in white; to either side, a Roman-style chariot, very ornately scrolled and decorated, pulled by two horses with two male figures on board, one with standard and shield, one driving the horses, both wearing tunics and plumed helmets, beneath the spout, a daffodil-type flower with smaller floral surrounds and two smaller floral sprigs below lip rim.
