Exterior view of Geest Industries Ltd banana warehouse at Barry Docks, seen from the forecastle of M.V. GEESTBAY. This warehouse was destroyed by fire in June 1970 and was completly rebuilt by February 1971.
M.V. GEESTBAY (7891GT) built 1964 by Nederlandsche Dok, Amsterdam, for Geest Industries Ltd., Boston. 1973 – Sold to Christian Haaland, Norway, and renamed NORTH STAR. 1975 – Sold to Mariime Company Overseas, Monrovia, and renamed ISLA VERDE. She was broken up at Huangpu, Shanghai, in 1984.
