Casgliadau Arlein

A blueprint of the foundation plan for the pelton wheel, prepared by W. Gunther and Sons, Engineers, Oldham, for Gilfach Ddu workshops, Dinorwig Quarry. A pelton wheel was purchased for the Gilfach Du workshops in 1925, to replace the water wheel as the energy source for turning the line shaft, as the water wheel had become old and needed a lot of expensive repair work to keep it in working order.
