one of four unrelated 'swansea cottage' jugs; all probably Staffordshire, although one is of a shape ususlly associated with Wales, often seens as 'Cardiganshire ware' i.e. with applied polychrome on a buff or blue ground; all have underglaze blue, red oxide and pink & copper lustre decoration
