Casgliadau Celf Arlein

Whilst looking at this artist's work on the "Your Paintings" website, I noticed that there appears to be a companion piece.
The Spanish (?) maiden waiting for her beau in your painting, complements the painting "Disappointment" in the collection of the Atkinson Art Gallery

I suspect that the artist painted several sets of these companion pieces, changing the detail each time so that each owner's pair were unique and not identical to other pairs.
This would explain the slight differences in the costume worn by the woman, whilst her accessories i.e. the ear-ring, the fan, the shawl are all nearly identical.
The size of the canvas also differs between your work and that at Southport, indicating that pairs were also produced at different sizes.
