This is a thin and unshaped stone carved with a simple cross.
Description; The right and top edges of the stone are almost straight and set at a 90 degree angle. The left edge is almost straight but at an approximately 130 degree angle from the top edge. The bottom left is an uncarved protruding rough shape. On the upper half of the object is a a simply incised linear Latin cross contained within a lozenge shape with curved angles. The lozenge is incomplete at the lower left side. The image has been lightly incised with a knife. The cross is more deeply cut, with the horizontal arms cut with near parallel lines. The enclosing lozenge is more lightly incised and made with multiple lines. It is mudstone, probably locally derived.
Provenance; Found in a long cist grave of an infant (SK 244) at the eastern foot end.
