This is a thin, long and roughly shaped stone carved with a simple cross.
Description; The stone is thin long and narrow. The upper half is slightly wider than the lower. It has been carved on both sides with simple, knife incised, linear Latin crosses. The crosses have been carved quite roughly, each line is made from several scratches. It is mudstone, probably locally derived.
Provenance; Found in a long-cist grave for an infant. It was used as a lintel covering the 'coffin shaped' grave cist grave. Being carved on both sides, the cross inscriptions would have faced inward and outward.
